One day while channel surfing, I came across a show called Married at First Sight. I had never heard of it and the title piqued my curiosity. Well, I watched it and that was all it took for me to get hooked on the show. I soon found out that it was the show’s second season and I haven’t missed a season since. I love this show and wonder if I could have ever done anything like this. I probably would have, since I’ve done my fair share of internet dating. (On a side note, that’s how I met my husband.) Of course I follow my favorite cast members on social media, because I just HAD to know who stayed together after the show.
Once I found Married at First Sight, I couldn’t stop there. No, I found my way to the 90 Day Fiance shows (90 Day Fiance, 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, 90 Day Fiance: What Now, to name a few) and have watched all of them. Unfortunately, a lot of these cast members have taken the excitement out of the show for me, because they have said that some of what happens on the show is staged, and that’s no fun. That being said, I continue to watch. The new season just started last night and they’ve added another segment called Pillow Talk, where cast members comment on other cast members while watching the show. I watched the first episode and it was pretty funny and entertaining!
Note to fans who follow cast members on social media: Try not to get too emotional and react to things you see on the shows immediately after watching. These shows are filmed months before airing and they’ve already worked through the various situations, or are over them by now.
Other reality shows I watch in no specific order: The Voice, American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, World of Dance, The Four, America’s Got Talent, Very Cavallari, Love After Lockup, and most recently, Paradise Hotel. Periodically, I will post my thoughts on various episodes or cast members, so stay tuned!
